This auction is for an original 27x41 one sheet movie poster for Oliver Twist from 1951 starring Robert Newton and Alec Guinness. Directed and screenplay co-written by David Lean, director of such classics at Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai and Doctor Zhivago. Produced by frequent David Lean collaborator Ronald Neame who produced Brief Encounter in 1945 and who went on to direct many films including The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1969 and Poseidon Adventure in 1972. Poster is in very good condition, never used condition. There is a little tear on the top right border. Colors are vibrant and artwork is very nice.
