A fantastic calculator - it exudes style and quality.Panasonic made a whole family of calculators with similar style features. The later ones are small-sized pocket calculators, but these early ones with their large size look the most stylish. This model has many high quality (and so expensive features) -The display-board held down with 8 screws and connected with gold-plated contacts to the main-board.the [On/Off] switch. Its manufacturing costs were probably higher than the cost of a recent scientific calculator.The keyboard uses reed-switches activated by magnets on the keys. Being sealed these switches are ultra-reliable having long lives and giving few contact bounce problems. 100 million cycles.The circuit board and the 8 digit display are plug-in modules, allowing quick and easy servicing (if necessary).
