THREE SCARCE STAMPS, AT A VERY LOW PRICE (TOTAL STANLEY GIBBONS CATALOGUE VALUE £320) After Muscat and Oman changed its name in 1970 the then definitive set was re-issued in January 1971 overprinted "Sultanate of Oman" in English and Arabic. Due to a shortage of 5 baiza, some sheets of the 3 baiza purple were over printed with Sultanate of Oman and 5 baiza in Arabic and English' SG 138 - value £120 Prior to the launch of the 1972 definitive issue (July 23rd 1972) certain values ran short. 1000 sheets of 120 of the 40 Baizas from the 1971 overprinted definitive set were surcharged with "25" in English and Arabic and were placed on sale on July 1st 1972. SG 145 - value: £100 Also overprinted 25 baiza at this time were some of the I Rupee SG 144 - value £100 PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN SEVEN DAYS POSTAGE IS FOR UK AND IS UNINSURED.
