Original cloth, slightly rubbed, bottom of spine slightly frayed, otherwise an excellent copy. [See: Potter 574]. [code:O1] This edition was printed on heavy handmade paper by the Curwen Press. The color plates were made by George Gibbons & Co. of Leicester. The 464 stanzas were translated in prose. The French text appears on the opposite page to the English translation. -- First edition with these illustrations.
