This pipe was built around a stem blank I got from Richard Bushee, the son of George Bushee who was the pipemaker in the window at Ehrlich's in Boston for three decades starting in the 50's. The blank was fat, but narrow, making it ideal for airflow. I was able to bring its girth down a bit making it a comfortable stem with a spectacular draw. the wood comes from a Grecian plateau block I got from Mark Tinsky at American Smoking Company. I tried to come up with a very classic shape to go with the stem. The pipe measures 5 1/2 inches long with a bowl height of 1 3/4 inches. The airhole was drilled with a 5/32nds bit and the tobacco hole 13/16ths inches.
