This superb detailing kit by BACKWOODS MINIATURES is specifically designed to enhance the ubiquitous Bachmann On30 Gas-Mechanical. Check-out the photo. Need I say more? This GAS-MECHANICAL DETAILING KIT is the most popular and enduring kit in the ever-expanding range of On30 kits from BACKWOODS MINIATURES, with thousands sold to date. It's easy to see why, when using parts from this kit simply transforms and elevates Bachmann's 'Plain Jane' On30 Gas Mechanical into the mutts nuts. Kit includes a fret of precision photo-etched-to-shape brass parts and a bag of whitemetal detail castings. The etched fret includes: See-through radiator guard, Left and right side skirts with separately etched side skirt doors which may be fitted open or closed, 6 x Louvre panels for hood sides, Radiator name badges included for 'WHITCOMB', 'DAVENPORT' or 'HUDSWELL' , Cab doors (fit open or closed), Cab side window visors, Cab front window frames (fit open or closed), Selection of loco number plates (4-8) and Handrail post brackets. Whitemetal castings are provided for the Exhaust muffler, Air cleaner, Horn, Stowage box, Fuel Tank, Back-up light, Sandboxes, Ballast weights for cab rear, and a Roof hatch. Turned bass handrail posts are included, along with brass handrail wire and a pre-cut brass exhaust pipe. Some thinner, more realistic window glazing material is also provided. Photo-etched brass parts are easily snipped from their fret using small scissors. Modellers can opt to use all or only a selection of the many detail parts provided in this fantastic kit. Either way, your On30 Gas-Mechanical 0-4-0 will look a whole lot better for it.
