Very Rare ! Original Clam Mine Mk III The first pattern was of metal, construction with floating magnets. The second was plastic and use fixed horseshoe magnets. The Mark III was deeper and reverted to the use of floating magnets. Production of the bakelite Clam started of April 1940 but their issue was confined to saboteur groups, Independent Companies (Commandos) and some to Auxiliary Units. PLEASE NOTE: I sell only one mine, the other to remain in my collection. This example is in superb condition, but no magnets. This version Clam does not have the painted signs, but printed paper card (missing). EBAY PLEASE NOTE - THIS MINE IS TOTALLY INERT AND HARMLESS. This is the bakelite box and cover with four screws.
