ANTIQUE SILVER FIGURAL & GLASS DISH!! This early artist created repousse silver figural group with green glass serving dish is one of the most extraordinary and stunning pieces that will come for auction in a long time! Dating from between 1750 - 1800, it is a small statue with the most incredible attention to detail! The base is a couple under a canopy of a fruit tree picking fruit, dressed in period attire - right down to their tiny, delicate shoes! The tree has individual branches that each have tiny pieces of fruit on them! The pale green Austrian Glass dish has beautiful handpainted gilding! The front of the piece, right in the middle at the base of the tree has a mark that is very hard to distinguish. It is a symbol, possibly a star with either an R or a B. On the lower left corner are two more markings. The word "Arden" or "Jarden" and under it, the number 210. Underneath the piece is etched B440514. This Breathtaking piece is in Excellent + Condition!! It measures 4.25"H x 3.5"W. The glass dish is 8.75" in diameter and 1.5"D. Over the next several weeks I will be listing an incredible collection of extraordinary antiques. These are being sold on a commission basis for a local businessman who is downsizing his extensive private collection.
