A large smiling Full Moon is looking down on the Folk Art Village of Apple Hollow on this Hand Painted, One of A Kind, Primitive Decorative Jug. I painted the background on this Collectible Piece Black, which makes for a great contrasting color for the Moon and Tiny White Stars. There is a Yellow Barn with a Red and White Quilt above the Barn Doors. A Red School House has a Flag, a White Picket Fence and a School Sign out front. There is a White Barn with an American Flag over the Barn Doors, a Rooster and a Wagon filled with Hay. The Red Quilt Shop has a Quilt hanging on a clothes line, a White Picket Fence and a sign out front, "Eliza Quilts". There is a light grey blue Farm House With a White Picket Fence and a White Salt Box with an American Flag Bunting. The rolling fields have Checks and Stars. There is a Cow, 2 Quilt covered Sheep, a couple of Old Black Crows, Shrubs, Birch, Pine, Willow, Apple and Pear Trees. The Jug measures 8-1/2 inches tall and is 16-1/2 inches around at it's widest. It's signed and dated and softly antiqued and distressed to give it a real vintage feel. This would make a wonderful Whimsical addition to any Primitive Folk Art Collection, as it's painted with a Touch of Americana Charm! Thanks for stopping by!
