Still Life with Fruit and Wine Bottle and Other ItemsSignedJoe Feuerborn1963Painting with frame and matte is 35 by 29 inches, w/o is 30 by 24Painting, frame and matte are in excellent condition. Included with the painting is the original 1963 letter from the Carmel Art Association describing how it was going to be shipped with the original price. Also included is a leaflet from the Galerie de Tours announcing a 1966 exhibit of Joe's Works.Joseph Henry Feuerborn (1929 - 2011)Joe was born in Chicago on December 31, 1929. He attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts before entering the Marine Corps in 1948. Upon his discharge he studied at the San Diego School of Fine Arts, subsequently moved to Carmel to study under John and Patricia Cunningham at the Carmel Art Institute.He was a long-time member of the Carmel Art Association where he proudly displayed his art. In 1955 he traveled the world including a year in Guadalajara, Mexico gathering material for his future paintings. His work has been purchased by many art patrons and celebrities here and abroad and has been reproduced for international distribution. He was proud of his one man shows across the country.Joe lived in Carmel for 30 years before moving to San Miguel where he continued to paint.More pictures upon request
