Verdi Paris Exceptional pair of late 19th century gilt metal opera glasses made by Verdi in Paris decorated on the barrels and handle in the Hiramakie style. The technique involved in decorating these opera glasses makes them a MUST HAVE for any serious collector. The condition of the glasses is very good however there is some wear to the lacquerwork particularly on the back, which hopefully you can see from the pictures. The glasses focus well and the lenses are clear with no fogging. The compact lorgnette handle is approx 10cm long closed and extends to 15.cm. The glasses themselves are 6cm high and open up to 7.5cm. Width of the glasses is 9.5cm.
