She has an exceptional - - now rarer than ever, signature of HANS OTTO STEIFF located on her foot. Hans Otto Steiff was the former president of Margarete Steiff G.m.b.H. He died at age 75 on December 31st 1994. It is commonly believed that the other signature (bottom one) is that of his wife Birgit Eitle Steiff. Hans Otto and Birgit toured the USA in the mid 1980s- meeting collectors, attending events and signing Steiff items. The last picture is of Hans Otto and Birgit at such a signing event. Insurance and Signature Confirmation will be provided on this item. There is no reserve on this item. Chair not included. All items listed are from a smoke-free home.
