*C olo rf ul Skeletal* *Quartz Crystal Cluster* Weight= 1 lb, 4 oz. Over 400 Million Years Old 5" x 2.75" x 2.5" This is a nice Skeletal(Elestial) Quartz crystal cluster. Super Color & formations, check out close up pics. Has orange coated oxides. It makes a great display. Has a bit of damage on the backside, but from the front its not really noticeable so diplays great. Color is due to iron & manganese oxides and will only come off if soaked in chemicals like iron out/oxalic acid, but I left the coating on because it gives a nice look to the crystals and is natural. Comes from the Diamond Hill prospect in South Carolina, known for many different variations of quartz, especially Skeletal(Elestial) quartz! Skeletal is caused from natural decomposition & regeneration of the crystal, and therefore looks like what a crystals "skeleton" might look like if it had one! Diamond Hill has some of the best if not the best in the world!
