A superb, good sized, antique orchid print of " ODONTOGLOSSUM BREVIFOLIUM" Native of Peru Drawn by John Nugent Fitch for, " The Orchid Album" by Robert Warner & Benjamin Samuel Williams . Published, London 1883 by Benjamin Samuel Williams. These fine, vibrant chromolithographs are highly desirable.The print is accompanied by a botanical description by Thomas Moore who was the Curator of the Chelsea Botanic Gardens. Fine, virtually unmarked condition save for an unobtrusive Library blind stamp .Credited within the plate. Measuring approx. approx 12"x 9.25"( 300mm x 235mm) overall. ..............................
