Order of the Yugoslav Crown 5th class Badge/Medal This auction is for an Order of the Yugoslav Crown fifth class badge/medal. The medal is in great shape and the ribbon does not show any sign of fraying... the pin on the back of the ribbon has some rust spots. The box is pretty beat up from storage and handling, however, the hinge and snap still work... mostly the paper cover on the medal box is peeling off in several places. The following is some information is from research on the internet. Royal Order of the Crown of Yugoslavia ( ... ). Instituted by King Alexander I of Yugoslavia in 1929. Kingdom Of Yugoslavia YUGOSLAV MEDALS AND BADGES Order of the Crown, Knight (I believe this is a higher medal than the 5 th class badge) King Aleksandar I instituted the Order on 5 April 1930 , to commemorate the change of the official name of the Realm from Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia .
