HUGE Original Watercolor Painting by listed artist Sam Hageman Signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Size: Frame measures 37" w x 30" h. Actual painting measures 26 1/4" w x 19 1/2" h Date of production: Unknown, circa 1980'sOriginal paintings by Sam Hageman are VERY RARE! I found a few others which are held by institutions, but no other original are for sale ANYWHERE online.History of the Artist: A noted artist from Frankfot, Illinois. Sam Hageman was a native of Columbus, Ohio. In the early 30's his family moved to Chicago, where he eventually entered the Commercial Art Field. While pursuing a career as art director and designer, he trained himself as a watercolorist.Mr. Hageman had numerous assignments to paint various areas of the country, and has had many one-man shows, both in this country and abroad.Sam Hageman lived in Frankfort, Illinois, where he worked on commercial design and watercolor painting. His Studio and Gallery are located in Frankfort. Mr. Hageman painted landscapes for the PFAU Co. which produced limited edition prints which they sent to their customers. Sam Hageman died in 1988.
