Today I will be listing the remaining items I have from the family of a soldier named ISHIKAWA. They include his signed & sealed battle flag and photograph, Order of Golden Kite, Order of Sacred Treasure, Order of Rising Sun, and China Campaign medal. These will all be listed as separate lots. The two other items I had from Ishikawa were his Rising Sun flag and unsigned flag. These closed today so please check my list history for descriptions. This first item I am listing today is the signed battle flag that was given to Ishikawa, probably in December Showa 10 (1935). We know that he went off to fight on January 10, Showa 11 (1936). The flag is made of silk and measures 26 X 38 inches and has Ishikawa's name at the lower left corner and a large shrine seal. The flag has TATAKAI HISSHO = "Win the Battle!" in large bold kanji on the right. Original leather corners and ties, EXCELLENT condition for a vintage wartime flag. This flag comes with an original photograph (9 1/2 X 12 inches) of Ishikawa in uniform with sword. The photo has the same large shrine seal on the reverse. This was probably done by the family during the war. The photo is also in excellent shape. A superb flag and quite rare with this much identification. GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC.
