MY UNABASHED SALES PITCH: Shipping is only $2.50 no matter how many auctions you win :) ($5.00 internationally.) DESCRIPTION: ANTIQUE advertising bank. This is an original and NOT a reproduction. The advertising reads: Save Barrels of Money by Using Distillate in John Deere Two-Cylinder Tractors. John Deere, Moline, Ill. John Deere Centennial 1937 1937. The Trade Mark of Quality Made Famous by Good Implements. John Deere Tractors Cost Less to Operate Because They Have Been Designed to Burn Low Cost Fuels Such as Distillate, Fuel Oil, Furnace Oil, Stove Tops, Etc. Every time you fill the tank of your John Deere tractor, deposit in the bank the difference between the cost of distillate and gasoline. You will be surprised how short a period of time it takes to fill up this bank. The number on the lower edge reads: A.C. Co. 70-A. CONDITION: I would rate the condition as very good to excellent. I see and feel no dings. T are a couple of small flat spots, but I wouldn't call them dents. T is probably 99% of the original paint, with very minimal scratching. T is a 1/8 inch area of rust at the bottom of the seam. The bottom of the bank, as well as the rims do have rust as shown. My stinkin' read more
