The items that will be listed below were sent to me be my partner in New York. These eclectic treasures came from various estates in Manhattan. I received the item listed below and others from this estate several years ago and am just getting around to listing them now. Most of the items from this estate, photos, letters etc. belonged to Max Friedland, favorite nephew of Carl Laemmle and European manager for Universal Pictures. This auction is for an original 8 x 10 photograph of Carl Laemmle celebrating his 70th birthday. I can recognize Carl and Carl Jr., the rest are a mystery to me. The photograph is very clear and those familiar with these people should be able to identify them. This unique photograph is in excellent vintage condition. Carl Laemmle was less than a year removed from Universal but I imagine many in the photo were still former employees. I'm pretty sure many of the others were family members. Where are the ladies? The back of the photo reads "BIRTHDAY PARTY given by Carl Laemmle on his 70th birthday, January 17, 1937". This item is in Excellent vintage condition.
