ORIGINAL 1940s CARNIVAL & FUNFAIR POSTER - MAJORETTE This was originally a "cheap & cheerful" colourful printer's "blank" poster produced to help advertise the many carnival & funfairs that toured the country - in this case - the USA. When a travelling fair arrive in a local town, these posters would have been overprinted with the specific details in the blak space provided. Because of the feeting nature of these posters, thye used a pretty basic printing technique. This can be seen in the rather "crude" appearance of the image - designed to be viewed from a distance - a bit blurred close up. However, still a lovely colourful and fun piece. Size 22.75" x 41.25" Image area is in good condition - there are some minor tears to the outer white margins.. ******************************************************* Thank you for looking.
