Here we offer the classic Sixties toy-- a genuine andoriginal Corgi Green Hornet Black Beauty. The car comes complete with working front "immobilising missile" that fires from a secret panel on the front grille, and "hornet scanner," which comes helicoptering up from the rear trunk. Other great features: "emerald"-jeweled headlights, and Kato (driving,) and the Green Hornet (whose arm can be adjusted, firing his tear-gas pistol from the back seat.) This Black Beauty is solid--it retains the original factory weld and has never been rebuilt or touched up. It has mild playwear (light scratches on roof and driver's door--please see close-up pics,) windshield is perfect, suspension is good on the front, but not there on the rear, and the tires are great. The front grille stays up on its own (very rare.) Both the scanner and missile are reproduction parts. This classic Corgi originally came in an oversized box, stuffed with a plynth--a fanciful display stand. Many collectors have a particular affection for the traditional Corgi box, which the toy store owner would retrieve by referencing the number displayed on its end flap, removing it from a glass-doored cabinet that was stacked high with boxes.
