Up for auction is Old Original Antique Stanley Wood Scrub Plane No 40 1/2: This was purchased from a 70 year old man & said it belonged to his father. He thought it was at least 90 years old, because his father used it as a skilled carpenter. Has a unique wooden blade holder to hold in cutting blade. This plane is in "As Is" Found Condition & low price reflects that "As Is" Condition! See Pictures for Details. These planes were adapted for quick removal of excess stock from rough material prior to using a smoothing plane . Condition: Fair (Handle broken, but stable) to Good (Blade seems to be in good usable shape) showing expected wear for an OLD Antique hand tool (In "As Is" Found Condition). Could be cleaned & restored, but I'll let the new owner decide on that decision since it is OLD & has it's Original Patina! See Pictures for Details.Size: 10 1/2" long with a 1 1/2" cutter .
