2014 celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Beatlemania!!!! We are offering for sale Vee Jay 522 "From Me to You"/"Thank You Girl", the second Beatles' record to be released in the United States in May 1963 prior to the advent of Beatlemania. Very RARE authentic styrene pressing with the black rainbow label, thick print, and oval logo. The publishing credits appear in upper and lower case. It comes with the original Vee Jay sleeve, which is a strong VG: no tears, no writing, and no seam splits. There is slight ring creasing and two staple marks. What makes this label particularly interesting is the fact that Beatles' writing credits are normally listed as "Lennon-McCartney". However, on this pressing the names are reversed, reading: "McCartney-Lennon". A super rare collectible! The labels on both sides of this record are truly in superb condition without scuffing or noticeable wear. appearing between Excellent and Near Mint. The vinyl on both sides appears in very good condition, although it has obviously been played. There are a few scratches and scuffs. It is very difficult to photograph the close ups because the vinyl is black and shiny. The camera is picking up a few dust motes which are barely visible to the negative eye.
