This auction is for an original Ch icago & Northwestern Railway r ailroad lantern . The top of the lantern is marked C . & N.W. Ry. and it is a n Adlake 250 . The burner is a n Adlake 25 0. It has a short red globe wit h C . & N.W. Ry cast into the glass . The overall condition of the lantern is goo d. We did not sell our SHORT CAST globe collection as one lo t. If you are a short cast globe collect or, be sure and check back each week to see what we have listed for bids. Last year, my son and I decided to begin offering our extensive collection of railroad lanterns for auction through eBay to the highest bidder. So far, we have successfully sold a little better than half of them . We still have many desirable lanterns yet to sell - some being offered through eBay auction and others through their Buy-It-Now option. It will probably take the first half of 2013 to sell our remaining lanterns. I will NOT remove an item early from auction.
