I follow a basic set of rules unique to each piece, like a computer programmed algorithm. Many of the drawings I come up with look like they were designed with the aid of a 3d Modeling program, but I draw completely freehand without any help from a computer. I make decisions as I go, so I when I begin I don't know how the final drawing will look. I have a general idea based on my experience in drawing like this.
