Very Rare Original Early Battle Of Britain era RAF Irvine flying jacket Will Fit 42-44 easily I am 6'3 and 44" chest, you can see from the picture it fits very well This is a great example early jacket, they had large panels as material at that time was not an issue, later period jackets had many more panels as materials where in short supply.The quality of leather and patina is simply amazing, and very very hard to come by. This is a unique opportunity to own a peice of aviation history. The Sleve Zips have been replacedThe Main zip is Original, this is key in dating this article as this style zip was only fitted in early Irvine Jackets dating it around 1938-39 Overall the stitching is in very good condition, in critical areas like shoulders and arms it is excellent and certainly up to flying duties, however on the back seam there is a very small 10mm section that would need attention. The main zip has a small tear in the fabric which should be easily reparied as the zip is still fully functional but of course care must be taken around this area. This was passed down and unfortunately there is no pilot provenance available. The Item weighs 3.05kg Thanks for looking and Happy Landings.
