An original Braque lithograph... "HERACLES" by Georges Braque One of a pair of original plate-signed lithographs, published by Derriere Le Miroir, 1951. Please see my other Braque auction for the companion to this piece.From the special issue titled "Sur Quatre Murs" Nos. 36-37-38; Mars-Avril-Mai, printed by the premiere lithography house Maeght Editeur, France. Measures 15" x 11" (sheet) unframed. A classical Braque image similar to his famous Helios series of roughly the same period. Shipping at $6.95 anyw USA, expedited shipping is availible, international bidders are welcome. No additional shipping charge for two (or more) lithographs. Derriere Le Miroir was the premiere art publication of it's day and is highly collected due to its original graphics by many of the leading artists, including Braque, Marc Chagall, Fernand Leger, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Georges Rouault, and Sandy Calder to name but a few.
