Up for auction is this original vintage pair of WWII German binoculars manufactured by Hensoldt Wetzlar. They are complete with the original leather carry strap and protective leather lens cover. This pair of combat field glasses has the built in range finder graphics and the optics are just absolutely spectacular, virtually flawless and crystal clear with no visual defects of any kind. The protective leather casing is somewhat brittle and has slightly chipped away in 2 spots (see photos). The leather carry strap is age darkened with good pliability and only a few minor surface cracks. A fine combat carried piece that will be difficult to upgrade.
