Don’t take the chance of repros damaging the threads on your rifle, repro's are also the wrong blue.These were used on all Karabiner 98k rifles until the semi kriegs and kriegs model stocks were introduced. They are missing from the Russian capture guns imported into the US. is your chance to put the correct high quality German screws on your Mauser. Your purchase is for 1 front and 1 rear screw. A pair of trigger guard lock screws that will fit all K98's but are the correct style for 1940-1942 rifles. This is a file photo, all the screws are in similar condition, not buggered up, rusted, or no damaged threads. The Germans WaA proofed these small parts first with the Weimar droop wing eagle starting in 1935 and ending with the World War II era spread wing eagle in 1940. The spread wing WaA starting to show up about 1937, phasing out the droop wing Weimar eagle. About 1940 the Germans started eliminating the inspection and proofing of small parts, 1940 to 1942 saw these little screws remain the same notched, only not WaA stamped. In another time saving measure they switched to the round head screws around 1942 until the Kriegsmodel at the end of the war. See the picture below read more
