Should you desire insurance on your item it will be charged at the prevailing USPS Rate. Thanks! This knife for auction is the Original Handmade Buck Kalinga. At the time it was handmade (early 1970's) it was the finest of the Buck line, the Kalinga is a large game knife. It was new in concept, it embodied all of the high quality craftsmanship found in Buck Knives. This unique handmade model, made of the finest high carbon steel, measures 10" overall, with a 5" blade designed to permit the full skinning sweep desired by todays big game hunters. It has an unbreakable handle, of laminated, wood-grain Micarta, which is fashioned to fit the hand. The full tang extends the length of the handle. The tang is stamped with Buck KALINGA USA read with the knife pointed toward the ground. This is often called an inverted-stamping, and knives with such a stamping are very rare.
