Up for auction is an original Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle full length wood stock. In very nice shape the original Urushi orange finish is mostly intact with a few thin areas. There are no cracks or major gouges and a few dents and dings and a couple of small nicks. The underside retains the original Nagoya factory arsenal stamp as this stock has never been sanded or refinished. I lightly cleaned it with soap and water and applied a furniture wax to preserve the finish. You will also find several Nagoya "W" acceptance stamps scattered throughout. This was off a Series 6 Nagoya transitional rifle with the round cleaning rod retainer and will fit most variants of the type 99 except the "last ditch" (substitute standard) version.
