Kiss of Death Movie Poster Description: 's an original lobby poster for the movie Kiss of Death. The classic film noir movie was first released in 1947 and starred Victor Mature and Richard Widmark -- the film that earn Widmark an Oscar nomination and catapulted him to fame. One of the most influential noir movies of the immediate post-war era, and in fact was such a trend-setting film that 20th Century Fox re-released it in 1953. This poster is not from the first 1947 release, but from the 1953 re-release -- however it is an ORIGINAL poster marked R-53-229, not a reproduction or modern copy. In fact, this might be even rarer than the poster for the 1947 release -- I've seen copies of the first release poster, but could not find a copy of this full color '53 poster online or from any of the movie poster retailers. It's in very used condition but still a wonderful piece of art to frame and display! Poster is currently shrink-wrapped on a cardboard backing (but not glued or pinned to the backing!), and I can ship this poster carefully rolled and tubed for $5.00 priority mail; if the buyer wants the poster mailed flat on the cardboard backing I can do that but the shipping cost will be much higher as the poster will then be oversize by the new USPS priority mail standards and thus have to ship at a 13-pound rate!
