This auction is for an original postwar Lionel GP-7 GP-9 diesel collector truck in good functional condition. N eed a basic collector truck yet do not need display or mint quality appearance? This may be your answer. Wheels show minor wear, simulated brake journals nice, pilot (original part 2328-65) nice and black with light burring forward edge and has a few of the normal turning scratches, coupler well intact. Trace corrosion on top and inside of frame box wheels and axles, tack welds not quite factory firm, "L" hook present and straight. This collector truck will fit any of the postwar GP-7 and GP-9 diesel road switchers such as 2028, 2328, 2337, 2338, 2339, 2346, 2347, 2348, 2349 and the 400 and 404 Budd cars. Auction includes the collector frame with wheels, axles and simulated brake housings, pilot with steps, the frame stud to connect truck to your frame, the "L" hook to guide truck on frame and the correct 671M-22 washer clip to mount truck to your frame. This basic collector truck would be suitable for repairs or parts on a layout train or your favorite "runner".
