hello, and thank you for your interest. is an original painting, done on Agate. Agate is a rock formation that originates from Brazil. These are sliced and polished pieces that I paint on. Sometimes they are dyed outrageous colors, such as pink and purple. This one is natural, and such a neat and tiny slice. It has a silver type metal around the edge and is able to hang. A perfect little Christmas ornament. The Collie dog seems to pass for a Shetland Sheepdog as well. Done in acrylic paints, the piece is sealed with a acrylic sealer, only on the painting itself. Safely dusted with a damp or dry, soft cloth. I have signed it on the back of the agate, "Tricia Smith 2007" with my Shiner Dog logo. Great with light behind them. Much more charming in person, and make great personal gifts.
