You are bidding on an original U.S. Air Force uniform . COLONEL STRATTON WAS COMMANDER OF THE SPECIAL OPERATIONS SCHOOL FROM '81- '85. BIO BELOW . Colonel Ray E. Strattonwas Commandant of the USAF Special Operations School (MAC) at Hurlburt Field, Florida from July 1981 to 1985. He flew more than 500 combat missions in nine types of aircraft in Southeast Asia as a forward air controller, air liaison officer, and operations advisor to the Vietnamese Air Force. He also served in the Air Staff as Chief of Security Assistance Policy and Management for foreign military sales and training programs for thirty-one foreign air forces. Colonel Stratton is a Distinguished Graduate of both Air Command Staff College and Air War College. 28 FEB 2008 RAY STRATTON COLONEL RAY STRATTON MAKES HIS FINAL FLIGHT I have been informed that Colonel Ray Stratton passed away on Feb 28 of a stroke at age 74. There will be a memorial ceremony at the Hurlburt Chapel on Tuesday 4 March at 2PM with a get-together at the Hurlburt Soundside after the service. MG “Dick” Secord, USAF (Ret) will give the eulogy.
