Here for auction is a original oil painting on stretched linen by the well listed Israeli artist Adolf [Adi] Adler. The painting is signed and has the original Safrai gallery [located in Jerusalem] label on the top stretcher bar [please see photos]. I am unsure of the date of this painting as it is not marked, or may perhaps be in the signature that I believe is in Hebrew, but judging from the gallery label's typed description I would say the 1960's. The title of the painting is BENCHING LICHT. The painting is beautifully framed in what looks to be the original frame.MEDIUM: Oil on linenSIZE ; Painting measures 12'x16' and with frame is 20"x24"CONDITION: Condition is excellent. The linen canvas is tightly stretched and has not been keyed out. The frame is also in excellent condition. This I guarantee.VALUE: Please note that the starting bid is a third of what you will currently find on Ebay for a painting that is one of the best I've seen done by this artist. Do a search and see. The masterly brush strokes and striking Chiaroscuro lighting as well as the rich colors and moving subject matter make this one of the Adler's finest works.ARTIST'S BIO: Adi Adler was born in Romania where he attended the art college in Kluj Romania in 1950. Adler was a leading artist among a group of well known artist that immigrated to Israel where he read more
