Original Oil Painting 1928 Modernist Abstract Lanscape American Framed Antique. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.Up for auction is an amazing modernist/abstract original oil painting landscape on wooden board dated 1928 and signed "S.H." In the original period wooden frame, this piece is most likely by a northeastern American artist, and was purchased from a large estate in coastal Maine. It measures 10"x13" framed, and is in great condition. Very minor chipping to frame and the painting itself is in great condition.A very modernist painting for the period, while the artist is unknown, it shows a very progressive skill and is an amazing example of early 20th century American art. The artist did a study on the reverse of the board, which is pictured.
