Up for auction is a very neat original Aladdin Store Display Box with original contents. It contains one dozen mantles for Models B and 12 lamps, each individual container has a good usable mantle inside. I purchased this out of an old hardware store in Sanborn, IN that had been closed since the early 1960's. While I don't think anyone would want to break up this set, the mantles are usable. I purchased several that had no display box, and they worked fine. The pictures make this box look a little better than it does in person. It is faded a little bit, and has some dirt, but no major stains. (it has no bad odor either) The lid folds up to make a sign as shown, and has a few tears. These could easily be fixed, but I won't touch it. The back ot the box says, " Mr. Aladdin Dealer: This Display carton is a silent salesman for you. Placing it prominently will pay you dividends in increased mantle sales." The headquarters at the time the box was printed was in Chicago. Winning bidder will pay $5 shipping, insurance included.
