You are bidding on the Original Red Plate , brand new in a decorative box! The Red Plate , with "You Are Special Today" in white letters, is a time-honored tradition of celebrating the special events that happen in our families. Made to become a family heirloom and to mark important milestones, the Red Plate turns any meal into a celebration of a special person, event, or deed. The back of the plate says "The Original Red Plate Co. 1979 Made in Germany." Included in this gift set is a brand new (unused) 10 ½-inch Red Plate and a pen for inscribing special occasions on the back of the plate. The back of the gift box explains the history and specialness of the Red Plate . Start a memorable tradition in your family or give the set as a gift. My wife and I like to give a Red Plate set as a wedding gift to our newly-married friends, so they can start their own family traditions!
