Original Royal Observers Corps (ROC) Officers Service Dress, as previously worn by a Observer Lieutenant H Courtney Smith. The uniform comprises of both the Jacket and Trousers. Jacket The Jacket is in excellent used condition for its age, the only damage appears to be some rust staining from a coat hanger. The buttons and insignia have been removed, however the unusual black rank insignia (which identifies the tunic as ROC) is still present. The Tunic is post war pattern and dated 1948. Tailored by Gieves for H Courtney Smith. The Jacket measures approx a 40" chest, from the top of the collar to the base of the Jacket measures approx 30" and from the shoulder seam to the base of the cuff measures 23.5". Trousers The Trousers are in excellent condition with no apparent damage, measuring approx a 36" waist and a 30" inside leg. Tailored by Gieves for H Courtney Smith 1948. Overall this is a very unusual uniform and ideal for a collector.
