This is a rare stone lithographed outer cigar sample label from the late 1800s. Produced by George Schlegel There are some tiny white specs on the label. All of the labels I'm listing tonight are lithographer's salesman's sample labels. The later sample labels were held into books and booklets with staples or posts. The earlier sample books were produced by pasting labels to pages in a scrapbook like album. The labels I'm listing tonight were from such an album. Quite often pages in these 120 year old albums stuck together leaving tiny white spots on some of the labels when the pages were separated. Some of the labels also show signs of wear as the working sample book was handled by many people. The photo is an important part of the item description. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases. I guarantee this item to be original. I do not sell reproductions of any kind.
