What makes this photograph so rare is it is stamped on the back: "PLEASE CREDIT SANTA FE RAILWAY PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT PHOTOGRAPH ". This is an 8 x 10, black and white photo from the early 1960's. This photo is a very classy, professional photo of the SANTA FE TRAIN ENGINE #8767 taken at nighttime! This photo would be wonderful for the Railroad collector!Please email your questions prior to bidding~ PLEASE SEE MY OTHER SANTA FE PHOTOS ~Years ago, I bought a box full of these photographs at an auction here in Kansas. Some of the photographs are stamped either, R. Collins Bradley, Don Erb, Orville Brent, Jr. and/or Santa Fe Railways. R. Collins Bradley, and I am assuming the others photographers, were the official company photographer for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railways. After doing research I found that the Santa Fe Railways was the only railroad that responded to Walt Disney's request for sponsorship in the late 1950's and Walt was no doubt very pleased by this. Walt Disney's connections with the Santa Fe ran deep: his uncle, Mike Martin, was an engineer on the Santa Fe, and the railroad itself had rails running through Disney's childhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri. Walt and Ward Kimball were also guests of the Santa Fe when the two traveled back to Illinois for the 1948 Chicago Rail Fair. That a railroad Walt read more
