I am selling my collection of punk memorabilia. Here is an original 1977 promo poster for the Sex Pistols' Never Mind The Bollocks album. There are some edge nibbles and creasing consistent with a used poster of this age. No rips or tears and corners are intact.There are small blu tac marks on each rear corner. The paper is bright and glossy with no fading or bleaching as this hasn't seen daylight for nearly 40 years. Please check photos for condition. On Sunday October 30th 1977 I went to the Virgin Records store in London's Notting Hill to buy the Never Mind The Bollocks album. Although officially released two days earlier Richard Branson decided to open this shop on Sunday as a launch day. In order to get around the Sunday trading laws everything not related to the album was removed from the shelves, which were instead full of empty NMTB album sleeves and Pistols single sleeves. There were also posters and banners strewn around the place and as an eager 13 year old I grabbed what I could, bought the album with a money-off voucher that a kind-hearted punk offered me and went on my way. This is a poster that I got from that shop on launch day 1977. I put it on my wall where it didn't remain for long, as the council decided to re-decorate all the flats in my estate so everything had to come down. It was rolled up and put in a cupboard read more
