Antique! Very Rare! 1930's or 1940's SHELL GAS PUMP GLOBE You are looking at a very rare Shell Gas Pump Globe. This is an original item - not a reproduction! It sat on the top of Shell Gas Pumps in the 1930's and 1940's. It is made of a heavy-duty milk glass. The lettering is all original. The globe measures approximately 17 inches wide by 16 inches tall. Considering its age, it is in very good condition. The globe itself has no chips or cracks. The lettering is coming off in some spots. The collar of the globe is slightly cracked. This probably occured when it was tightened into the gas pump. When this globe is mounted, you will probably not be able to see the cracks. This globe really looks great when illuminated! If you collect vintage automobile or gas station items, this would make a wonderful addition to your collection! This is a hard-to-find piece of Shell Gas Station history!
