Up forauction: For the serious fan of vintage Disney memorabilia -- an original and extremely rare SWAN from Walt Disney World’s attraction “Plaza Swan Boat Ride.” This attraction, which required a “D” ticket, took passengers for a 17 minute slow ‘n serene sojourn through the different lands via the Walt Disney World canals. (see photos) The boats operated for only 11 summers from 1973 to 1983. T were ONLY 12 swan boats made and only SIX in use at the end of their run. Own a genuine piece of nostalgia and Disney history with this authentic and original swan (the boat is NOT included). My father bought a similar swan at a Disney auction back in the mid-‘80s. He put the swan on the front of his pontoon boat and rode around the lakes of Central Florida in his very own “swan boat” much to the delight of fellow boaters. (see photo) You could do the same thing with your own boat… or display it on a dock, in a garden, or in a funky game room. Use your imagination! The swan measures approximately 4’ 10” tall and its wingspan is 7’ from wingtip to wingtip. From the front of its belly to the “line” between the wingtips is approximately 5’ 4”. It weighs 85 pounds.
