An original old Tri-Ang Minic tin toy windup blue & black taxi windup truck. The toy measures 4 1/8 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall. The toy has the "Tri-Ang Minic Toys Made In England" marking in raised lettering underneath the car. All of the components shown are original.The windup mechanism is present. But, the key for winding the mechanism is missing. As we do not have a key of this size to test the toy we do not know whether or not the mechanism works. The finish is original in all respects. There are no touch-ups or repairs of any kind.The vast majority of the original dark blue & black paint is present & the paint has a pleasing luster. There is some oxidation & there are some tiny rust spots on the plated areas of the toy. This would probably clean off with the use of a good metal cleaner.Two of the original rubber sections of the wheels are heavily smashed & have assorted flaws. The other two wheels have all of the original rubber. But, on these two wheels the rubber has some cracks, bends, & small flaws. The radiator has two holes in the front where it would have attached to the body. Someone has wired the radiator to the car with a small wire which is not original to the toy.The front of the roof at the center has the word "Taxi" in white.
