HBT Short-Bill Cap Description: Details: This cap is an ORIGINAL short-billed herringbone twill ("HBT") cap issued to GI's during WWII. The cap is in the early-War light OD #3 and is in a phenomenal size 7-1/2 according to the 1943-dated QM tag in the sweatband, but can be stretched to fit larger sizes when wettened and placed on a USMC-style "cover block". The cap is in mint unissued/unused condition. 's a chance for the discriminating collector to obtain an excellent example of one of the most distinctive caps worn by GI's during WWII in a "human" size. Please note that due to the consignment nature of this listing that the buyer will not have my usual five-day right of inspection and return privilege, as stated below in the terms and conditions of sale.
