Guaranteed this hat is an original! While staying at Hermit Island in Small Point, Maine, a Russian Ship was anchored about 10 miles off the coast. They were fishing for "Pogies" (spelling?) which Americans consider inedible. We took a trip out in a small fishing boat and pulled up alongside the Russian ship. The Russian sailors were very anxious to trade anything they had for American jeans, sunglasses, cigarettes, etc. A Russian Officer took this hat off his head and pointed to my husband's colorful T-Shirt with his trucking company logo. A cable was lowered down and the trade took place! I would love to keep it, but we have to downsize and won't have the storage. It's a dark, "Army Green" with red trim, a gold "rope" attached to two gold insignia buttons and a black visor. See photo for insignia on front. A treasure! No International Shipping please.
