In 1966 - 67, Andy Warhol went on a North American tour with The Velvet Underground and newly discovered diva, Nico. The band was booked into a club called Poor Richards on Chicago's north side for 5 nights in June, 66. This is an original (not reprint or reproduction) poster promoting the shows.The site of the club is gone; it's a strip mall now. The poster, which is printed on a mid weight cardboard has been stored flat inside a frame for protection and is in pristine condition, with the only nicks on the top left and right corners (see pics for detail). The frame is included in the auction. I reiterate that the frame is only for protection, not for display. To display this piece of rock history in anything but a proper frame would be a shame.Shipping insurance is a MUST.
