This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of this poster by Tomi Ungerer. Printed in 1969, it advertises an exhibition of the artist's Fornicon at the Waddell Gallery in NYC, starting on January 6, 1970. Although equally-known for his children's books, Ungerer was famous for his political and erotic art. The Fornicon--a highly-sought-after, hard-to-find book--is a portfolio of erotic inspired prints in which machines are used to sexual ends. While the portfolio normally goes upwards of $5,000, this original poster for the exhibition is much cheaper. It measures 23 1/4 x 37 1/2 inches and is in A condition (please note that standard A condition on any vintage paper item allows for minor handling wear in the margins, provided it does not affect the image).
